"Dear all" is the only way to grouping the people you need them attention, whom told you it's in-proper? why you dont ask the guy who say this ??

如果是非常熟悉关系感觉像朋友的人,可以直接用 Hi ***,开头, ***是名字(一般不用姓专),第一个字母属大些,Hi后面不带逗号只有空格,名字后面加逗号。然后另起一行写正文。

如果已经很熟悉但感觉还算不上朋友的人,Dear ***,开头, ***是此人的名字

如果是不熟悉的人,用Dear Mr.*** ;Dear Ms ***开头,***是此人的姓。
如果第一次写信且不知道姓名,用Dear Sir, Dear Madam

1.基本的英文书信格式应包括四大部分:日期,称呼,正文,和落款(包括敬语)

2.信件开头称呼:

(1.)写给朋友,用"Dear+名"。如Dear Megan。

(4.)也可以用"头衔/职位+姓/姓+名"。如Dear Prof.TimScales,Dear Dr.John Smith。
